The Northbrook Garner Bicycle Club hosts the Friday Night Velodrome Race Series at the Ed Rudolph Velodrome in Northbrook, IL.

The Friday Night Series has a proud history of being the "First Bicycle Race Experience" of cyclists that have gone on to become champions. This includes Olympic, World, USA National and Illinois State champions. Friday Night alumni have also been members of the USA National Cycling team and support teams for the Tour de France.

The goal of the Northbrook Garner Bicycle Club is to provide participants and spectators with a positive introduction to velodrome bicycle racing. The club promotes the benefits that cycling provides: for the participants, community and environment, while enjoying the best sport in the world!

Friday Night Bike Racing Schedule
Racing is on Friday Nights, from June to August. (No races on Friday night of July 4 weekend).

OPENING NIGHT IS FRIDAY JUNE 12, 2015 - View the Season Calendar

The Velodrome is open for public cycling from sunrise to 4pm. NOTE: there is no cycling permitted during Park District activities, including soccer games and practices.

Changes to 2015 Family Racing Format
We are no longer hosting races for licensed riders (track bikes on Friday nights). Licensed track racing is on Thursday nights. Please refer to http://www.northbrookcyclecommittee.org/ for more information.

This new format allows us to focus on families, children through adults - developing bicycle racing skills and having fun!

Club Information
The Northbrook Garner Bicycle Club welcomes individuals and families who share our passion for cycling. The club supports the Friday Night Velodrome Development Races Series, and we have like to have fun, including a weekly ride on Sunday mornings. We are always looking for new members!
